1874 Invitation Warren Dancing Class


Warren Dancing class Invitation for Friday evening, March 6th, 1874 at the Austin House, Warren, Ohio.

It’s called a “Grand Dress Party.”

“Positively no Gentleman admitted without a Lady.”

Committee members were E.C. Chase, W. S. Douglass and R. A. Cobb. Music by Harris’ Full Orchestra. The cost was $1.50.

In the 1870s the Austin House (which was a hotel) seemed to have been a very popular spot for dances.

This invitation consists of two leaves; the inside is blank.

Condition: Excellent, very clean with no flaws. Printed in green, red and gold inks. Size 4.5 x 7.0 inches folded.
